BRUCE D. EISENBERG, AIA, LEED AP                http://www.stvinc.com

Bruce Eisenberg is an architect with 25 years of experience directing programming, master planning and design for government, educational, commercial, recreational and residential projects.  He was promoted to vice president of STV in March 2009.  He continues on as the director of the firm’s Building and Facilities Division’s New York Architectural Studio, supervising and providing design leadership for STV’s architectural group.  Bruce received a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington University.  He is a member of the AIA New York Chapter where he served as co-chair of the Interior Committee and chair of the Historic Building Committee.  He is a former director of the AIA NYS Board and served on the executive board in the capacity of vice president of communications and public relations.  He is also a recipient of the Arnold W. Brunner Grant from the NY Chapter of AIA, which advances the study of architectural research to contribute to the practice of architecture.

Barbara Nadel is principal of Barbara Nadel Architect (BNA) a New York City architectural and consulting firm.  She is an award-winning architect, author and journalist, specializing in building security, master planning, programming and design of civic, justice, healthcare, cultural and institution facilities.  Her professional accomplishments are multidisplinary, global, collaborative and widely recognized. Since establishing BNA in 1992, Ms. Nadel has worked with the world’s leading institutions, owners, architects, security consultants, engineers, construction managers, and over 40 federal, state and local government agencies in the U. S. and internationally.  Her experience includes transportation, critical infrastructure, and correctional, specialized medical, psychiatric, educational, and commercial development projects.

Ricardo Scofidio, along with Elizabeth Diller, are partners in Diller Scofidio + Renfro, an alternative form of architecture practice that unites design, performance and electronic media with cultural and architectural theory and criticism.  The firm recently completed the stunning Institute of Contemporary Art on the Boston waterfront, and is also responsible for designs for the on-going High Line redevelopment on the west side of Manhattan.  The recently completed renovation of the Julliard and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center is another of the firm’s successful projects. Ricardo Scofidio studied at The Cooper School of Art and in 1960 received a bachelor degree in architecture from Columbia University.  He is a Professor Emeritus at Cooper Union.

AIA Peconic 2008 Design Awards Program Winners Announced.

The AIA Peconic announced the 2008 award winners at their annual Design Awards Program held at the Ross School, East Hampton Campus, on Saturday, September 6th. Following the announcement of the Awards, the jurors discussed the projects that earned their esteem and engaged the audience in an open conversation on the state of architecture on the East End. The symposium was followed by a cocktail reception for the jurors, entrants and audience members.
